A Peerless® boiler serves as the indirect water heater’s heat source, supplying the energy required to heat water. Only when energy is needed to replenish the hot water being used, or if the tank has been left idle, does the boiler burn. Even when not in use for a long time, the well insulated tank loses very little heat because it is not vented to the outside. Maximum heat transfer and resistance to mineral accumulations, which can result in discolored and unpalatable water, are features of the water heater’s design.
